MUSIC MARKETING SERVICES

BUILDING AN AUDIENCE FOR YOUR MUSIC

Creating great music is only part of the equation. If people never hear your music, discover your brand or connect with your story, even the strongest songs struggle to gain momentum.

Frequency Studios provides music marketing services for independent artists, from release campaigns and playlist pitching to branding, content strategy, EPKs and artist websites. Whether you're preparing your first single or building on an existing fan base, we help you reach the right listeners and build a foundation for long-term growth.

RELEASE CAMPAIGNS

Every campaign is built around your release. A typical single, EP or album campaign includes:

• Release strategy and promotional timeline
• A press release written for your song
• Curator research and personal pitches by email and Instagram
• Submissions through curator platforms like SubmitHub, Groover and MusoSoup
• Press and blog features
• Your Spotify for Artists editorial pitch and metadata
• Spotify Canvas
• Content calendar for the release

No bots and no fake streams. Every listen comes from a real person.

CASE STUDY: SIREN SHORELINE BY DELPHI LIGHTS

Delphi Lights are an alternative rock band with a Celtic edge, and a band we've worked with since their first album. Over the years we've built their website, EPK, artist photos, album art and press releases.

For their single Siren Shoreline, released May 1, 2026, we ran the release campaign: the strategy, the press release, a Spotify Canvas, curator research, submissions through SubmitHub, Groover and MusoSoup, and direct pitching to playlist curators. No paid ads. The promotion budget went to curator platforms and press.

In the first 10 days, Siren Shoreline had 70 playlist adds, 128 listeners, 202 streams and 7 saves.

The song was picked up by more than 50 playlists, blogs and magazines, including 49 Spotify playlists. Placements included Fresh Finds, The Other Side Reviews' Alternative Rock playlist, EXTRAVAROCK, Indie + Rock Retrievers, Testing Melodies Fresh Finds and Breaking Sound's New Music Mix.

It was featured or reviewed by Plastic Mag (UK), Return Of Rock, Edgar Allan Poets, Music Earshot, Musikepool, Music For All (Brazil), Testing Melodies' Fresh Finds round-up and InspotMusic's Daily Discovery.

To date, the song has 81 playlist adds, 171 listeners and 322 streams, and 62% of those streams came from playlists and Spotify's own recommendations rather than people searching for the song. That's the campaign doing its job: putting the music in front of new listeners.

Not every curator said yes. A few passed because the song wasn't what they were looking for on their playlist. That's normal, and it's why we research every curator before pitching, so your song goes where it actually fits.

MUSIC MARKETING STRATEGY

Some artists are releasing their first single. Others are preparing an EP, an album or a touring cycle. We build a marketing plan around your music, your audience, your resources and your long-term goals:

• Release planning
• Audience development
• Brand positioning
• Content strategy
• Platform optimization
• Campaign planning
• Artist messaging
• Long-term growth planning

ARTIST BRANDING

Your visual identity, messaging, photography, artwork, website and social media all shape how listeners see your music. A clear brand makes every other marketing effort work harder.

• Artist positioning
• Brand identity development
• Visual direction
• Messaging development
• Content planning
• Website strategy
• Promotional asset planning
• Album art and artist photos

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT STRATEGY

Most artists don't lack content. They lack direction. We build content plans that support your music and are realistic to keep up, so social media doesn't take you away from making music.

• Content planning and content pillars
• Artist storytelling
• Audience engagement
• Video content ideas
• Behind the scenes content
• Release content

ELECTRONIC PRESS KITS (EPKS)

An EPK helps media, venues, festivals and industry contacts quickly understand who you are and what you offer. We build EPKs that present your music and story clearly and professionally, for:

• Media outreach
• Festival submissions
• Venue bookings
• Industry opportunities
• Brand partnerships

DISTRIBUTION AND RELEASE SUPPORT

Getting your music onto streaming platforms is only one part of a release. We help you prepare and coordinate everything around it:

• Distribution planning
• Release preparation
• Metadata guidance
• Asset organization
• Launch coordination
• Audience communication

SEO AND WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT FOR ARTISTS

Your website is one of the few online assets you fully control. It's the central hub for fans, media and industry contacts, and it helps people find you in search.

• Artist websites
• Website structure
• Search engine optimization
• Content planning
• Branding integration
• User experience improvements
• Audience conversion

HOW IT WORKS

Release campaign management is $150 per hour, plus a promotion budget for curator platforms and press. A single release campaign is typically quoted at around 20 hours. We quote a flat package up front, so you know the full cost before we start. Paid ads are optional. Branding, EPKs, websites and other services are quoted per project.

Campaigns work best when we start 3 to 4 weeks before release. They work best on a project we've made together, but we're happy to promote music recorded elsewhere too.

WHY FREQUENCY STUDIOS

Since 2008, Frequency Studios has helped artists develop their music, refine their sound and build stronger careers. We treat marketing as part of artist development, not a separate add-on, so your music, branding, content and release plan all work together. Because marketing works best when it starts long before release day.
